10 DIY T-Shirt Cut-Out Style Designs

Are you bored of wearing the same old t-shirts? Give your plain tee’s an upgrade trying some cute ways to cut a t-shirt. All you need is a bit of creativity, a pair of scissors and some t-shirt tutorials. If you are experimenting for the first time try on a very old t-shirt which is not in use anymore.

Here are some of the DIY ideas turning your old one to a super cool tee.

A Crop Top

This is the easiest way to make a boring t-shirt to a super cool crop top. Simply cut along the hemline of the sleeves and  outside of the collar hem. Decide the length and cut straight line in the back side of the shirt. For the knot detail at the front, start from the bottom of the shirt at the center and cut to the length of your shirt diagonally. Do both sides by creating two triangles. That’s it. Enjoy your new T-shirt!

Off-Shoulder with a Heart

This is the stylish away to create a stunning t-shirt. All you need is a used large t-shirt, scissors, scrape piece of contrast fabric, markers, Sewing machine. First cut-off the collar of the shirt and make sure it turned into off-shoulder top. If you want to keep the collar you can leave it. Draw a heart design on the shirt just like heart shape in the picture using marker. Inside the shape of the motif draw the lines 3/4inch apart. Carefully cut on the line inside the motif. Turn your shirt inside out and place contrast piece of material over the heart and pin it. Now sew around the edge of the motif and each one of the grey stripes down the middle, this will hold the heart so it keeps its shape. Turn the shirt inside out and trim the extra fabric around the heart and voila you’re all done!

T-Shirt with Fringes

All you need is sleeveless tank top, scissors and a measuring tape. First cut the bottom hemline of the t-shirt. Then measure the required length and cut 2 inch wide fringes any how the thickness of the fringe doesn’t matter, but thinner the fringe better they look.

T- Shirt WithSleeve Cut-Out

Regular t-shirts can be boring and unflattering. Just re-deign your old full sleeve t-shirt in to super stylish one by following these simple steps. All you need is your old t-shirt and a scissors. Cut your t-shirt sleeves with few inches gap between each and slightly pull them apart to get those raw edges a finished look.

DIY-Work Out Shirt

This is best way to make boring work out t-shirt into a stylish racer back top. It’s a very simple process, again all you need your old t-shirt and scissors. Firstly cut-off the sleeves, collar and the bottom seam. Turn the shirt around and cut a triangle down the back of the neck. Take a piece of that you have cut from the bottom of the shirt and tie it at the back. Now you’re ready for the work out!

T-Shirt with Lace Patch

This is one of the interesting may to refashion your old-t-shirt. Just cut out the fabric from the place where you want to place the lace and sew in your lace piece and finish the edges.

This is something that you would love to wear on tank tops especially in summers. This will provide right amount of coverage while still showing off your arms. All you need is a big men shirt. Cut-off the sleeves and neck part. Neck part is where your arms go, but it will stretch out a bit with time, so don’t cut it too loose. That’s it trim the edges and wear it like a pro.

Necklace Scoop Neck T- Shirt

If you like to give some interesting detail to the neckline, this is the easiest way. Cut some fine stripes at the neckline and slightly pull them apart and make it an interesting DIY project.

Just two easy steps and you will have a new T-Shirt. Choose an old T-Shirt that you have just lying around and just cut on the sides of the Shirt. That is the first step and the last one is to tie a bow on the bottom of your shirt. Make sure you choose the shirt with sleeves and not a tank top.

Cut the t-shirt of bow width size at the back. Then create the bows from the textile patterns. With a sewing machine, attach the bows, but cover the sides with the back part of the t-shirt. Enjoy!
